A juvenile confirmed to have dengue infection in Biratnagar seven days ago has died while undergoing treatment.
Two-year-old Avinash Sharma, son of Rajkumar Sharma of Biratnagar Municipality-9 Land Administration Chowk, has died. Avinash was studying in Class 8 of Shikshedeep College in Biratnagar-1. According to uncle Umesh Sharma, Avinash had a common fever on this day.
Later, while conducting health and lab tests in the outpatient department of Saptakoshi Nursing Home, it was confirmed that he had Dengue infection. The physician of the hospital said. Arvind Sah said that Dengue’s infection was confirmed in Sah, who was admitted to the hospital.
Dengue was first seen in Dharan on the first day of Baishakh. Currently, its transmission has spread to six districts of the country. According to the Ministry of Social Development, the number of dengue-infected people has reached 3 thousand 9 hundred in the province.
